Question Answered

I installed the lamp and waited 30 minutes before turning the the projector on, but it still gives me "lamp" warning and it doesn't work. What else should I try? Asked by Mohammad S. On May 24, 2021

This could be the lamp timer, which needs to be manually reset when you put a new lamp into your projector. Try going to your projector settings and updating this.

How do you manually reset the lamp timer?

Answered by Mohammad S. On May 18, 2024

There are a few steps to manually reset the lamp timer for a Benq HT4050 projector. First, after the startup logo displays, on the on-screen display (OSD) menu, go the Advanced OSD menu. Then select System Setup, Advanced, then Reset Lamp Timer, and select Reset. If there's no signal connected to the projector, go to the Basic ODS menu, then Reset Lamp Timer, and select Reset. A "Reset Successfully" message should display to notify you that the lamp time has been reset to 0 lamp hours.
